GENERAL QUESTIONS

Do I need to be a Student or Faculty member?

No. We do offer discounts for academic institutions, but the service is open to all.

Where are your data centers located?

Our server are located in New York City (Manhattan) at NYI, in Kent at Custodian Data Centre, in Frankfurt at Global Switch data centre. We own our own hardware and operate our own CDN.

Are your data centers SSAE/ISO Certified?

Yes, our USA data center is SSAE certified as well as PCI and HIPPA compliant. Our EU data centres are ISO certidied and PCI Compliant.

Where are you located?

We are headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware. Support offices are located in Florida and London.

Do you outsource support?

Never. Our support enigneers are DBAs and System Administrators with qualifications in Linux, Windows, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and Cisco.

How long have you been hosting for?

Our team is part of MapFig, Inc/Cited, Inc. We have been continuously hosting since 2006.

RESOURCES

Why don't you offer unlimited bandwidth?

Bandwidth is allocated at an optimal rate to SSD disk. In the unlikely event you actually use all of your bandwidth, we will double it at no charge.

Can I upgrade/downgrade my plan?

Yes, you can upgrade/downgrade at any time via our secure portal. You do not need to open a ticket, you can simply scale whenever you need to.

Do the plans include everything I need?

Yes, all plans include everything you need to put your exhibitions online: Omeka, Apache, MySQL, PostgreSQL, FTP, SSH, Email, WebDav, DNS/domain hosting, etc.....

Can I access my database from anywhere?

Yes, you can enable remote access via our control panel.

Which version of MySQL is used ?

Currently, we use MySQL 5.6. On VPS and Dedicate Plans you can select MySQL version.

DOMAINS, EMAIL, and ACCESS

Can I just host a sub domain with you (e.g. exhibit.mycollege.com)?

Yes. Just select the fourth option (free sub domain). In the order notes, put the sub domain you wish to map. You can change, edit, update your domain(s) and sub domain(s) at any time and as often as you wish to.

Do I need a domain at all?

If you don't have a domain or want to buy one, you can use one of our free sub domains. On the VPS packages you can also use only the IP if you wish to.

Does my hosting include domain/DNS Hosting?

Yes. You can host unlimited domains on all of our plans.

Can I use your DNS?

Yes, we operate our own GeoLocated DNS services with nodes in the USA, UK, Germany, France, and Singapore.

How do I upload files to my website?

You can upload via FTP, SFTP, WinSCP WebDAV, or via your control panel.

Is SSH enabled?

Yes, SSH is included in all hosting plans.

PRESALES

Do you offer free trials?

No. But we do offer an unconditional 14 day guarantee on all hosting plans.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Switch Cards, PayPal, and Bank Transfer (Bank Transfer is available only for orders over $75).

Do you have an affiliate program?

No, we don't have an affiliate program.

What is the policy on "SPAM" and "unsolicited emails"?

No unsoliticed emails.

Are there any conditions to the 14 day money back guarantee?

No, you don't even need to give a reason. Simply cancel within 14 days and your full hosting price will be refunded. No questions asked.

CUSTOMER ACCOUNT

How do I cancel the service?

Log into your account and click the cancel button. You will have the option for immediate cancellation or cancel at end of billing period.

Do you offer programming services?

We have developed our own plugins for Omeka (MapFig and Carta) and can provide custom plugins. The time and cost varies according to project.

Can I resell your services?

You are more than welcome to manage accounts on behalf of others, but we do not have a reseller program

Do you allow 'adult content'?

If you mean porn, we do not allow it. Exhbibits exploring nudity, explicit sexuality, etc.. are permitted but under no circumstances may users solicit fees for these exhbits.
